Information we may collect from you

We will generally collect and process only the following data from you:

  • The Information that you provide by contacting us to use our services: primarily contact details - email address and phone number.
  • Also your licence number, and name & address for completing CBT Certificates, or booking Tests with the DVSA (Driving & Vehicle Standards Agency).
  • When you contact us to use our services we need to keep a record of that correspondence.
  • Also records of payments and transactions made for our services, just for our accounting
  • We do not keep any details of any cards used for payment, we only enter them into Worldpay’s secure and PCI compliant online system

How we use the information

We will only use your personal data as legally permitted. The 2 prime purposes are:

  • We need to perform the service contracted for between you and us
  • Where we need to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation

We only use information in the following ways:

  • To provide you with information, or services that you request from us
  • To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts you enter into with us
  • To fill out certificates and records of completing Compulsory Basic Training
  • To book and name Tests with the DVSA (Driving & Vehicle Standards Agency)
  • To notify you about changes to our service
  • To produce internal records for our diary, accountancy, taxation, and any other legal requirements

Disclosure of your information

We don’t use or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. The only circumstances where we will disclose your personal information to third parties are:

  • If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal or regulatory obligations; or in order to apply our Terms and Conditions; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of you or anyone.
  • If we are required to by legal and/or regulatory terms set by the DVSA when we are acting as an Approved Training Body
  • If disclosure is essential to fulfil any services you have contracted with us

Where we store your personal data

The data that we collect from you is not transferred to a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). We take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with regulations and this policy.

The transmission of information via email to us may not be completely secure; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we use strict procedures and security features to prevent un-authorised access. Our computer systems are password protected and only accessible by ourselves.

Data Retention

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. CBT records must be kept for at least two years so that completion of CBT can be confirmed if needed, and a replacement certificate can be issued if you lose your original while still valid.

Contact us if you need a replacement CBT Certificate, and we are allowed to charge a small fee for it, as it does cost us a fee to purchase it from the DVSA. By law we have to keep basic information about our customers for tax purposes for six years after they cease being customers.
